Golf
The climate of the Costa Tropical area makes La Herradura a perfect year-round destination. The resort does not have its own golf club, but it is a short drive to Motril where you will find Club de Golf Los Moriscos , or if you are visiting Granada, Granada Golf Club which has a game-friendly and exceptionally scenic 18-hole course.

Cycling
Costa Tropical is a popular destination for cycling with a varied terrain including mountains, rolling hills and a beautiful coastline and year round sunny weather encourages cyclists from all over the world. Costa Tropical has an enviable climate, with an average of 320 days of sunshine per year.
Due to the subtropical weather they grow a lot of tropical fruits here, mostly avocado, mango and Cherimoya but also papaya, persimmons and guava. The mountains are also filled with figs and almond trees that can help a tired cyclist get back on track.
Costa Tropical is very cycling friendly with both plenty of quiet roads for road cycling and trails in the mountains perfect for mountain biking. Road cycling offers smooth road surfaces along the cost and in the mountains, lack of traffic and lots of beautiful whitewashed villages where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tapas. Mountain biking offers challenging endurance climbs with stunning views as a reward.

Skiing
Take advantage and enjoy both sun & Bath, but why not combine and ski in the Sierra Nevada , awesome! Sierra Nevada's ski paradise with peaks of 3500 m and over 1200 m drop in the longest slope, compare it with Sälen's 240 m drop!
Everything that should be in a proper ski area is of course here. Hotels in all tastes directly on the slopes, restaurants, ski shops, ski rental and après ski.
It does not take more than an hour or so by car via the motorway and you are ready to master one of the 115 ski slopes spread over 105 km of slopes! The ski season is usually from the month of December and you usually go all May. April and May often offer T-shirt skiing and swimming in the oceans in the evening!
Paragliding
La Herradura is a paradise if you like paragliding. Here, all forms of flying are close at hand. The bay itself is actually a very popular "hangout"!
For a mountain flight with landing on the beach you go to Almunecar in 5 min. Furthermore, there are many airports for all tastes and of course the Sierra Nevada with as much flying as you can handle!
Diving
La Herradura´'s coastal waters are a protected natural area, which is why diving in the area is very popular. There are several fully certified diving centers in the area with rentals and also guided tours if desired. Diving usually takes place in direct connection to the beach or cliffs, which means that boats are rarely needed for standard diving.

Our concept is simply that the host and the hostess should have a whole evening at home with their guests, as they do not have to lift a finger either in the kitchen or at the table during dinner. In short, just concentrate on their own guests.

Visit The Caves of Nerja - Las Cuevas de Nerja. The caves in Nerja are home to the world's largest column and have their place in Guinness Book of Records
Hike up to El Cielo , which is correctly translated to "Heaven", is the highest mountain along the coast in the area with its 1,508 meters.
Sea kayaking , Recently, a Spanish television program concluded that "Paradise exists and it is here in Andalusia."
One more trip Frigiliana. Frigiliana is often mentioned as being the most beautiful white village in Andalusia as it constantly wins awards in this particular category.
Walk up along Rio Chillar, Rio Chillar is the hike for you (preferably if you have children with you)
